High school students
Are you a high school student and do you wish to know how a research centre devoted to aquatic ecosystems works? Do you wish to make your research project with us?
At the CEAB we foster a reduced number of 1st and 2nd year high school students every year to carry out their research project or their company internship.
– In order to carry out a Company Internship at the CEAB, you should straight forwardly check the current projects of the centre or the research profiles of our researchers and contact us through the e-mail address formació@ceab.csic.es. We will contact the selected researcher and we will tell you if it’s possible for him/her to host you within the desired period.
– There are two different options to carry out your Research Project at the Centre:
- The application to any of the proposals stated in the catalogue offered by the Education Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya. In this case, it will be possible to perform the tasks connected to the Research Project at the CEAB facilities.
- As for the internship, you can contact us through the e-mail address. We will contact the researcher and we will tell you if he/she is able to propose a potential subject for your Research Project or to supervise the one you had chosen. In this case, it will not be possible to perform the tasks connected to the Research Project at the CEAB facilities unless you applied for performing the Corporation Internship at the same time.
Both in the case of the Corporation Internship and the Research Project and no matter the chosen way, your stay will be always developed under the tutoring of a teacher from your high school.

The call for this program is made every year by the Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation and the CEAB has contributed to it for the last two years with the project: Mountain water ecosystems, the bioindicator organisms.
