RESEARCH INTERESTS:
I am interested in the study of trophic ecology and the diversity of crustacean zooplankton. The studies combine the use of classical taxonomy, genetics, ecological stoichiometry and stable isotopes as indicators of changes in the ecology and physiology of organisms. My current projects include studying the relative importance of founder effects, local adaptation and ecological thresholds on the distribution of alpine lake crustacean zooplankton. The use of stable isotopes to describe trophic relationships and as indicators of nutritional and physiological processes. And finally, the reconstruction of fish introductions in the Pyrenees and their effects on amphibian distributions.
