ORGANIZATION
ORGANISATIONAL CHART
The governance of the CEAB rests with the Director, Vice Directors, Management and Board of Governors (management team, manager, department heads and staff representatives). The Scientific Assembly (research staff), the External Scientific Advisory Committee and the Social Council serves as the advisory body. Proposals are submitted to the Board of Governors by the Assembly and various internal committees. The diagram below enables you to quickly understand our organisational structure.
DEPARTMENTS and RESEARCH GROUPS
Scientific staff are administratively organised into three departments: Marine Ecology, Continental Ecology, Ecology and Complexity. Within these departments, research is conducted within specific research groups. Research activities can also be structured around major themes or cross-cutting topics.
CEAB COMMITTEES
CEAB-CSIC has seven committees made up of volunteers who represent the diversity of the Centre’s staff (administrative, technical, research, general services, etc.). They work in key areas such as equity and sustainability. Each committee follows its own agenda, defined by its roles and objectives, and aligns with the Centre’s strategy. They also make proposals to the Management and the Board, and coordinate with one another to establish a common roadmap and avoid overlaps.
External Scientific Advisory Committee
The External Scientific Advisory Committee is made up of a group of prestigious international scientists, experts in the different areas in which the Center works. Its function is to advise the CEAB-CSIC government and ensure the scientific quality of the institute.
