The Centre for Advanced Studies of Blanes (CEAB-CSIC) will open its doors to the public on Friday 25 September, from 7.00 pm, to celebrate a new edition of the European Researchers’ Night. The initiative aims to bring science closer to society and offer visitors the opportunity to learn first-hand about the work carried out by researchers to understand, protect and restore the natural environment.

This year, CEAB Night will be devoted to the conservation and restoration of ecosystems, under the theme “Knowledge at the Service of Nature”. The evening will provide an opportunity to discover how scientific research helps address some of today’s major environmental challenges.

The event will begin at the CEAB’s Enric “Kike” Ballesteros Auditorium with an introduction to the key concepts, questions and challenges that will guide the evening. Participants will then move to the Centre’s terrace, where they will be able to explore a range of research projects related to nature conservation and ecological restoration, take part in outreach activities and speak directly with the scientific teams leading the work.

CEAB Night is designed as a welcoming and participatory experience. In an informal and relaxed setting, visitors will be able to ask questions, share concerns and reflect together on the role of science in addressing present and future environmental challenges.

The event takes place within the framework of the Researchers’ Night (a project associated with the European Union’s MSCA and Citizens initiative, funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions: HORIZON-MSCA-2025-CITIZENS-01).
