I am a freshwater ecologist interested in ecosystem functioning, and especially in the aquatic fauna of rivers and lakes. As part of my PhD, I am studying the impact of biological invasions (fish species introduction) on the macroinvertebrate community of high mountain aquatic ecosystems in the Pyrenees. I use a combination of both genetic techniques and morphological approaches to characterize the biodiversity of invertebrate communities, in addition to assess the threats they face in the context of Global Change.
