General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - December 2018

You are hereby informed that the personal data of our customers will be processed in accordance with the current legislation on the protection of personal data, user privacy, and the secrecy and security of personal data, as set forth in Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPD-GDD), and in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, regarding the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR).

In order to comply with the aforementioned legislation, we have updated our Privacy Policy:

Data controller: CEAB-CSIC, with Tax ID no. Q-2818002D, is the controller of the data file generated with the personal data provided by users of the portal www.ceab.csic.es.

Purpose of processing: we process the information received from users in order to provide them with the requested service and to send them communications related to the content of our products and services.

Origin and type of processed data: the personal data that we will process is the personal identity data with which the user provides us through the registration form displayed on our website.
Retention period: the data provided will be kept for the duration of the commercial relationship with the user or for the period necessary in order to comply with our legal obligations.
Lawful basis: the user’s data is only processed when they grant explicit or informed consent for us to do so, and always in accordance with the purposes described.
Recipients: the data with which the user provides us will not be transferred to third parties, except in cases where there is a legal obligation to do so.

However, in order to perform certain functions necessary for the provision of the service, the user’s data may be processed by third parties acting as data processors, who will be contractually obliged to comply with their legal obligations as data processors, and to respect the confidentiality and secrecy of the information.

Users have the following rights over their personal data:

Right to request access to personal data.
Right to request rectification or erasure.
Right to request the restriction of processing.
Right to object.
Right to withdraw previously granted consent.
Right to data portability.
