CEAB Commitees
Equality and Inclusivity Committee
Works to ensure that all staff have equal opportunities and that no one suffers discrimination on the basis of sex, gender, sexual orientation, origin, disability, job position or other factors. It promotes, implements, and monitors protocols and actions aimed at preventing and eradicating all forms of violence, discrimination, or inequity, fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful working environment.
Sustainability Committee
Develops, implements and monitors the CEAB’s Sustainability Plan, taking into account the various dimensions of sustainability (social, environmental and economic), and in coordination with the CSIC sustainability working group.
Ethics and Scientific Integrity Committee
Ensures that scientific research is carried out responsibly, honestly, and in line with ethical principles. It reviews protocols—especially those involving living beings—and promotes good research practices.
Emotional Wellbeing Committee
Ensures the emotional wellbeing of all CEAB staff, including technicians, administrative and support staff, early-stage researchers, and senior researchers. It is organized into subcommittees, such as one for support and care, and another for social and recreational events.
Scientific Activity Committee
Promotes scientific activity to stimulate critical thinking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among researchers from different fields and specialties. It organizes scientific seminars and events such as the Ecology Symposium.
Mentoring, Scientific-Technical Career and Training Committee
Its main function is to support students, technical staff and postdoctoral researchers. It serves as a permanent point of reference and guidance on the realities and opportunities of a scientific-technical career. It also organizes training activities.
Space Management Committee
Defines the criteria for assigning workspaces at CEAB, based on the principle that everyone should have access to a space appropriate to their tasks and to regulations. It manages space as new staff join, and plans both short- and long-term space allocation in line with the Centre’s strategy.
