Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ)
Karsten Rinke was trained as a limnologist from Dresden University of Technology and moved after his PhD to the University of Konstanz, where his research was directed to modelling of aquatic ecosystems and lake management. Since 2010, he is heading the Department Lake Research at the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research. His main lines of research focus on lake monitoring, modelling, and management as well as climate adaptation of lentic ecosystems.

Isabel Muñoz
Universitat de Barcelona (UB)
Isabel Muñoz is a Professor at the Faculty of Evolutionary Biology, Ecology, and Environmental Sciences at the University of Barcelona and a researcher at the UB Water Research Institute (IdRA). She has extensive experience in the study of river systems, with a particular focus on the ecology of aquatic invertebrates. Her research covers both fundamental studies and applied projects aimed at river system management.
Prof Tammy Robinson
Center for Invasion Biology, Stellenbosch University
Tammy Robinson is a biologist specializing in marine invasions and an Associate Professor at the Centre for Biological Invasions at Stellenbosch University (South Africa).
