ConversesNat: Aral Sea, a Sea of Questions

In the final session of the year of the ConversesNat series, the documentary “Memories of a Sea” by Laura Carrau will be screened. The film follows the scientific expedition (led by CEAB-CSIC researchers Núria Catalán and Rafael Marcé) to the Aral Sea to catalog and quantify the consequences of its desiccation.

This documentary has just won the fourth edition (2024) of the Science Communication Awards granted by the Catalan Association for Science Communication (ACCC).

After the screening, there will be an opportunity to discuss the insights of the audiovisual piece with researcher Núria Catalán.

The event will take place at the Natural Science Museum of Barcelona, starting at 6:30 PM.
