As part of the Mountain Open Talks series on mountain-related topics and applicable technologies, the Unió Excursionista de Sabadell has scheduled the session “Nature and Conservation of Aquatic Environments in the Pyrenees”, led by researcher Marc Ventura Oller from the Centre for Advanced Studies of Blanes (CEAB-CSIC).

This talk will cover the different aquatic environments found in the Pyrenees, their main threats (such as the spread of invasive species), and the impact of tourism. It will also discuss the LIFE RESQUE ALPYR project, which is carrying out various conservation and restoration actions. Additionally, the talk will address the existing restrictions on visiting these natural areas, why they are in place, and how we can contribute to their preservation.

The event will take place on February 11 at 7:00 PM. It can be followed online. For more details: info@ues.cat
