Under the title: “The interplay between species distributions and their biotic interactions.”

Dr Núria Galiana is a community ecologist specialising in network biogeography, ecological networks, and biodiversity patterns across spatial scales. She has worked at leading institutions such as the CNRS Theoretical and Experimental Ecology Station (France) and the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (CSIC, Spain). Her collaborations include researchers from institutions such as Université de Sherbrooke and the CNRS in the field of global biodiversity and ecological network dynamics.

The event is open to participants external to the Centre. Attendance is free and no prior registration is required.

It will include a coffee break and a discussion afterward with the researcher, focusing on the topic “Is conservation biology protecting the wrong thing?”

It will take place in person at the Enric “Kike” Ballesteros Auditorium at CEAB.
