This creates a gradient of more than 5,000 meters in altitude\/depth and positions the CEAB as a unique setting for developing studies on the ecology of marine ecosystems (both coastal and deep waters) and inland waters (from high mountain lakes to river mouths).<\/p>\n<p>The CEAB is an internationally recognized center for its research in aquatic ecosystem ecology. It is well positioned to advance knowledge and propose innovative solutions that help conserve biodiversity. As can be seen in this report, 2022 has been a very productive year. The studies developed in 2022 at the CEAB cover a wide range of disciplines: from taxonomy and genomics to mathematical modeling and functional ecology.
