{"id":19683,"date":"2026-06-26T09:47:04","date_gmt":"2026-06-26T07:47:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ceab.csic.es\/?p=19683"},"modified":"2026-06-26T09:47:04","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T07:47:04","slug":"life-resque-alpyr-international-conference-call-for-abstracts-now-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ceab.csic.es\/en\/life-resque-alpyr-international-conference-call-for-abstracts-now-open\/","title":{"rendered":"LIFE RESQUE ALPYR International Conference: Call for abstracts now open!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An international meeting on research, restoration and management of high mountain ecosystems across Europe.<\/h5>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/liferesquealpyr.eu\/\">LIFE RESQUE ALPYR<\/a>\u00a0International Conference will take place from\u00a0<strong>28 to 30 October 2026 in Vielha \u2013 Pyrenees<\/strong>, bringing together researchers, conservation practitioners, protected area managers and technical professionals working on high mountain aquatic ecosystems and mires.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conceived as a scientific and technical meeting with an international scope, the conference will focus on ecological research, restoration experiences, methodological advances and cross-site knowledge exchange related to high mountain ecosystems across Europe.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Main thematic areas<\/h4>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scientific programme will be structured around three thematic sessions:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>High Mountain Lakes Conservation:<\/strong>\u00a0ecology, impacts and restoration<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mires and Wet Meadows:<\/strong>\u00a0hydrology, vegetation and biodiversity restoration<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cross-ecosystem Linkages:<\/strong>\u00a0lessons learned, management approaches and transferability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit abstracts for\u00a0<strong>oral presentations or posters<\/strong>\u00a0related to these themes, as well as other research or management experiences connected to high mountain ecosystems.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important dates<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Abstract submission deadline:<\/strong>\u00a015 August 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Notification of acceptance:<\/strong>\u00a0September 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Final programme publication:<\/strong>\u00a0early October 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Conference dates:<\/strong>\u00a028\u201330 October 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For questions regarding abstract submission, registration or conference logistics, please contact the\u00a0<strong>LIFE RESQUE ALPYR Conference Organising Committee<\/strong>\u00a0at:\u00a0<strong>liferesquealpyr@ceab.csic.es<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Further updates and practical information will be published on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/liferesquealpyr.eu\/final-conference\/\">conference website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The LIFE RESQUE ALPYR International Conference will provide a platform to share knowledge, strengthen collaboration and advance conservation and restoration strategies for high mountain ecosystems across Europe.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An international meeting on research, restoration and management of high mountain ecosystems across Europe.
