These new projects are supported by the new Andalusian carbon standard for the certification of blue carbon credits, as well as the legal framework of the Andalusian Climate Change Law.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Traducci\u00f3n\">The work carried out by this project has revealed the carbon richness of the sediments in tidal marshes and seagrass meadows of the Bay of C\u00e1diz, as well as in the Posidonia meadows of the Cabo de Gata-N\u00edjar Natural Park. Thanks to the definition of these projects and the Andalusian blue carbon standard,\u00a0companies will be able to offset their carbon emissions in the voluntary carbon market\u00a0through these projects based on the conservation and restoration of coastal ecosystems in the European context for the first time.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_53697\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-53697\" style=\"width: 1006px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-53698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ceab.csic.es\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/bahia-cadiz-bluenatura.jpg\" alt=\" width=\"1006\" height=\"566\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-53697\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Badia de Cadis.
