The main objective<\/strong> of this project, coordinated by CEAB-CSIC, is the assessment of the environmental quality of Catalonia\u2019s coastal waters<\/strong> (coastal waters and the bays of the Ebro Delta) using the soft-bottom macroinvertebrate indicator<\/strong>, in accordance with the Water Framework Directive (2000\/60\/EC).<\/p>\n

\n

The MEDOCC (Western MEDiterranean)<\/strong> index will be applied to assess the status of the water bodies.<\/p>\n

The work is being carried out during the 2025-2030 period within the Monitoring and Control Programme (PSiC)<\/strong> of the Catalan Water Agency.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
