Research Technician in Remote Sensing and Coastal Vegetation Ecosystems
Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Salamanca, including a one-year exchange at Ghent University (Belgium), and a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
My work focuses on studying vegetation dynamics in coastal ecosystems (dunes, salt marshes, and seagrass meadows) and their role in the provision of ecosystem services, such as coastal protection and carbon storage.
More specifically, I analyze time series data acquired through drones, aerial surveys, and satellite imagery at different spatial and temporal scales, using photogrammetric techniques and automated image classification methods.
I also participate in field sampling campaigns for data acquisition and validation.
Research projects I am currently involved in: DYNCOAST: Dynamic coast, society on the move
