My research focuses on fluvial biogeochemical processes and how plants and microbial communities can improve the water quality of rivers affected by wastewater treatment plant effluents.

Tasks carried out include:

• Maintenance and setup of experiments in rivers and artificial ponds at the Urban River Lab
• Field sampling, processing, and analysis of samples
• Development and application of biogeochemical, microbial ecology, and plant physiology methods
• Management of sensor data and analysis of results
• Preparation of scientific reports, transparency activities, and scientific outreach.
