My interests in marine biology are broad and include all kinds of research conducted along the northern coast of Catalonia: from the ecology and acoustics of marine mammals to macrofauna and seaweeds.

I graduated in Environmental Biology from the UAB and completed a Master’s degree in Marine Mammal Science at the University of St Andrews, focusing my Master’s thesis on the acoustic detection, habitat use and distribution of Cuvier’s beaked whales in the north-eastern Atlantic. I am also a member of a marine association that studies cetaceans in a submarine canyon located in the Costa Brava region.

I currently work as a science communication officer within the Marine Forest research group. I communicate science in the framework of seaweed-related projects managed by the Institute of Aquatic Ecology at the University of Girona and by CEAB.
