I am a Senior Captain (Patró Major de Cabotatge) and the head of the nautical area at the CEAB.

Among my responsibilities is supporting the scientific teams within the aquatic area, piloting the main vessel of the CEAB, the “DOLORES.” The support tasks I carry out depend on the research group making the request, and are typically related to diving, collecting sediments and/or water from different depths, bathymetries, seismic bathymetries, sediment cores, maintenance, sampling, towing, and anchoring the oceanographic buoy of the CEAB observatory…

Additionally, at the CEAB, we have eleven inflatable boats with outboard motors, for which I am also responsible, taking care of their maintenance.
