I work as a research technician within the Dryfish project, in which we aim to investigate how fish in intermittent rivers cope with the challenges brought by the dry season, as well as how their behaviours and life-history traits differ from fish in perennial rivers. We assess several aspects brought by the dry season through an in-depth monitoring of several intermittent rivers, behavioural studies in the field and in the lab, and the use of camera traps to understand the role of predation in fish survival.
