I am an aquatic biogeochemist interested in carbon and nutrient processing in aquatic ecosystems and how various environmental factors and disturbances can alter these dynamics. I earned my PhD at Virginia Tech in the United States, where I studied carbon dynamics—specifically the production of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane—in intermittent and coastal freshwater wetlands. During my time at CEAB, I will be investigating the influence of low oxygen concentrations on biogeochemistry and water quality in the rivers and streams of the Tordera catchment.

I am currently working on the OXIT research project.
