An article published by the group of Dr. Miguel Ángel Mateo has been included in Science for Environmental Policy

The Aquatic Macrophyte Ecology Group of the Center for Advanced Studies of Blanes (CEAB-CSIC), led by Dr. Miguel Ángel Mateo, published last January, together with other researchers, the article A temporal record of microplastic pollution in Mediterranean seagrass soils.

Due to the importance of the publication, the study has been included in Science for Environment Policy’, a news service published by the Directorate-General for the Environment of the European Commission.

Science for Environment Policy is a free service that provides news on the latest environmental research that has been specially curated by independent scientific advisers. This initiative is intended for anyone who is interested to gain a unique insight into vital scientific issues relevant to current EU environmental policy.

The article of the group of Dr. Miguel Ángel Mateo has been dispatched to more than 20,000 policy makers, academics and business people across Europe to help develop effective evidence-based policies.

Milestones like this confirm the importance that CEAB gives to environmental research, and they encourage us to continue working in this line.
