For years the CEAB has organized seminar sessions, where researchers, post-docs and doctoral candidates from the center itself participate, as well as invited researchers from other research centers around the world. In these seminars, current research, specific projects or interesting results of a study are made known.
It’s objective is to generate dynamics that encourage debate and the exchange of knowledge and ideas, to enrich the research.
Each seminar lasts approximately 45 minutes with time for questions and final discussions.
The seminars are usually on THURSDAY AT 12:30 pm. The seminar program is open to everyone. For more information you can contact the person who coordinates the seminars: Meritxell Genovart firstname.lastname@example.org

CONFERENCE ON ADVANCES IN ECOLOGY
For 12 years, the Catalan Society of Biology and the Center d’Estudis Avançats de Blanes (CEAB-CSIC) have organized the Conference on advances in ecology every October at CEAB.
The objective of the conference is to carry out an academic event that brings together researchers from different fields of ecology and other related disciplines, often distanced by reasons of the dynamics of the research itself. Throughout the day and through lectures and lively debates, works from different areas will be presented that will give an overview of ecology, linking it to general aspects of biology and science. The idea is to deal with both methodological and conceptual aspects, which allow a diffusion of ideas and methods to other fields.
SEAMPOSIUM: “Dealing with new frontiers of marine research”
The Decade of Marine Sciences promoted by the UN (SDG14) aims to generate a common framework that ensures that marine science fully supports actions to sustainably manage the world’s oceans and seas, and thus achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.
To contribute to this, the CSIC centers; IMEDEA, IIM, CEAB, ICM, ICMAN we have organized a joint conference cycle entitled “Dealing with new frontiers of marine research” by which a discussion forum is created around a monthly seminar conducted by a recognized expert in different marine topics.
This series of seminars aims to highlight the leadership of the CSIC in the field of the Decade of Marine Sciences.
