SCIENCE IS ALSO EXPLAINED IN BARS

What do you talk about when you meet friends at a bar? What if it’s about science? The international festival Pint of Science makes science conversations take over bars around the world over three days this May.

Once again, the Blanes Center for Advanced Studies participates in this great event. Researchers from CEAB-CSIC have prepared talks on the role of rivers and lakes in the carbon cycle, marine wind energy, artificial intelligence, biodiversity crises, and the invisible life unseen by the human eye.

These small conferences open the door to discussing scientific concepts in a simple and relaxed manner. They bring scientific research and its ongoing results closer to the public, as well as igniting interest in this field among those who felt distant from it.

The talks will take place on May 13, 14, and 15, from 7:30 pm to 9 pm, at the Cotton bar (Antoni Gaudí Street, 49, Blanes).

Admission is free and no prior registration is required.
