Graduated in Environmental Sciences (UB) and Master in Research and Advances in Microbiology (UGR), my scientific interests are focused on the microbiological communities present in water bodies of diverse origins. During my undergraduate and masters studies, I participated in the development of protocols for microbiological analysis in sewage treatment plants and participated in a study of microorganisms with the capacity to degrade hydrocarbons in sea water.. Currently, my doctoral thesis focuses on establishing relationships between empirical microbial ecology and theories of organization of biodiversity in space and time. For this purpose, I work with a dataset mainly composed of samples from shallow saline lagoons in the Monegros area, as well as soil samples from the same area, which I analyze using techniques of metagenomics and different approaches to multivariate statistics.
